1. Dying my hair dark from ombre PLEASE HELP?

Im a licensed cosmetologist and when simply depositing color and not lifting 10 wouod be the developer to get . Also if you do stick to the 20 which may lify your roots id apply a 20 on the darkest n a 10 on the lighter . Apply on dark hair first then the lighter .

2. Why does ombre hair have to be bleached tips first?

You apply bleach to dry hair so its better to apply to tips first rather than the second layer and washing and blowdrying. Also, after some time the bleach stops having an effect on hair so you have to reapply it. EDIT: the process is still the same regardless of if you add colour or not. tip first, then layers.

3. How do you ombre blonde hair with highlights to brown gradiating to blonde?

If you wish traditional skinny highlights then simply get a gentle brown - redish color or simply mild brownish color.

If you do it yourself, it would be way cheaper, but theres a chance your hair would messup or go orange or start breaking. make sure your hair is in good condition(Not dry or anything, thats the mistake i made, my hair was dry so it started breaking.) and go to a salon, maybe bring a picture to show what you want. For starters... ombre hair looks amazing and unique. My friend has brown on top and blondish tips, and it looks totally rad. She paid roughly 100 bucks, but apparently she knows the hair stylist... so maybe that's why.

Semi Permanent dye wo not get your hair lighter. In order to lighten hair, you need bleach and you only have bleach in permanent hair dye. Youtube search 'how to ombre hair', there are loads of videos, but do not try semi.

I would recommend you use Colour B4 to take the red out of your hair first , otherwise if you put bleach straight onto it it will probably turn ginger xx

If you are using regular bleach you might want to make your hair damp before applying it. This way it will blend better as it wo not be completely dry. Also do it in stages. Damp dye, check it after 10 minutes or so, then dry dye further down, creating a blend from darker to lighter. It should end up looking great!.

because you have dark hair, if you do not bleach your hair first, the dye will not hold and will come out right away. I have light blond hair (almost white at the tips). I had ombre purple to blond in my hair, but because i did not bleach my hair first, the purple washed out completely within less than a week. You need to bleach your hair because 1) colour will not show up very well in darker hair (depending on what colour you are going for) 2) if your hair is very healthy, the dye washes out right away. if you are dying your hair it's going to damage your hair a little no matter what. i would just bleach it a bit first. you do not have to make it white, just lighter. it's worth it. after putting dye win my hair, the first day or two i could feel a difference in texture in my hair, but a it washed out, it felt more healthy again.
