Hair Dye Question Please Help?

I've been dying my hair for four years and my hair has not gotten any thicker so i think its a myth

1. How effective is henna as hair dye?

It does work, but it will give you a red tint after some time... like when you are out in the sun, your hair will have a red tint. I would mix it with dark coffee to get a better result if you want your hair like super black. ... But of course, my preference is to just stay with whatever God gave you. If you already have dark brown hair, look into "black malva" shampoo, it will neutralize brassy tones in your hair and it will make your hair shiny and darker. :)

2. Permanent electric blue hair dye?

Not any without bleaching your hair...Even with those Hi-lift colors, To get a good vibrant color, and to even get it to show up, especially if your hair is colored, You need to bleach the hair. Without bleach, or removing the color, It will just be a waste of money

Awful. Well maybe not, maybe they do it different in america. In India, were its native, it is a mud like hair product men use when their hair turns grey. It makes it an awful orange color.

Regular brands, I would go with Garnier or Feria - I think those are the best. If you want something that's made specifically for AAs, try Dark & Natural/Dark & Lovely. Bigen is a Japanese brand that's sold here in the US. A lot of AAs use Bigen.

My only answer is trying something containing lemon juice such as Sun In spray but that takes time and leaves the hair brittle and brassy. To go lighter your only option is bleaching unfortunately :(

Well keep in mind pubic hair is courser than the hair on your head, making it more resistant, so it will be harder to color, and harder to damage. that being said, it is possible, but the harsh chemicals in hair dye will irritate genitalia. so more than just the hair might fall out. ...oh, and it will grow back just like if you shaved it, so you might as well just do that

No, hair dye cannot make your hair fall out. However, if the dye is applied improperly, it can damage the hair and cause the hair to break off. Hair breakage is different than the hair actually falling out of the follicle.

No, if you have darker hair you need it bleached to get it dyed lighter. You have to go to a salon and get perm. colors put it or it will fade quickly(espessially if you have darker hair)

Yes, it will! Also, when you wash your hair, I suggest you use this shampoo Pantene Pro-V Red Expressions. I use it for the red in my hair and it always looks nice afterwards. ^_^ Hope this helps you!

It sounds like you are adventurous with your hair like I am! *high five for creativity* In my opinion, when it comes to big events like weddings and proms, its best to not do anything crazy though. I do not recommend doing something drastic like trying to lighten your hair too many levels. You really take risks doing this. Lightening your hair is something you should do over time to keep from damaging your hair too badly. You say your hair is currently a burgundy black? I would try going to a salon and asking for a pretty dark brown. It's natural, not very far from where you are now color wise and there are some very beautiful chocolate brown colors out there! If you want to spice that up a bit, there are always clip on streaks! They sell them at hot topic in wild colors like pink, blue, green etc. They look great and you do not have to bleach your hair.
