Pull my finger is a joke or prank regarding flatulence, in which a victim is asked to pull the finger of the joker, who simultaneously farts so as to suggest a causal relationship between the two events. A comparable activity is attributed to a character in a short story by Mordecai Richler (collected in The Street, 1969): He settled in sullenly at the kitchen table, his smile morose, and suddenly he would call out, "Pull my finger!" If you did he let out a tremendous burp.A variation on this joke appears in Yasujir Ozu's film Good Morning (1959). Schoolboys ask each other to push their foreheads, responding with an expulsion of gas. In 2008, an iPhone app from Air-O-Matic called Pull My Finger was one of the most popular apps in Apple's App Store, purchased over 50,000 times in less than one week. It allowed users to pull a virtual finger, activating the sound. As of 2009[update], there is a legal battle between Pull My Finger and InfoMedia's iFart Mobile app over the use of the phrase. In 2015, an MRI study of how knuckles trigger popping sounds was jokingly called the "pull my finger study."

I fallen off more times than I can remember and I've never broken a finger. I once broke five bones in my wrist by hanging on to the handlebars when I hit, but never a finger. I think your problem is probably that you put out your hand to break your fall. This is bad technique. You should keep your hands away from the pavement and try to just roll onto the ground hitting on your shoulder first (I have broken a collar bone…twice).And of course wear protective gear. Fairly thick leather is best for a jacket. Woven materials tend to catch and make you tumble. Wear gloves that have metal or teflon inserts on the palm and the little finger side. These are make your hand slide over the pavement if necessary

Finger Wharf
The Finger Wharf is a heritage-listed former wharf and passenger terminal and now marina, residential apartments, hotel and restaurant located at 6 Cowper Wharf Road, in the inner city Sydney suburb of Woolloomooloo in the City of Sydney local government area of New South Wales, Australia. It was designed by Henry D. Walsh and built from 1910 to 1916 by the Sydney Harbour Trust. It is also known as Woolloomooloo Finger Wharf and Woolloomooloo Wharf. The property is owned by NSW Maritime, an agency of the Government of New South Wales. It was added to the New South Wales State Heritage Register on 18 April 2000. The structure is the longest timbered-piled wharf in the world. During its working life for around 70 years, it mainly handled the export of wool, but also acted as a staging point for troop deployment to the World Wars as well as a disembarking point for new migrants arriving in Australia. Today it has been redeveloped as a fashionable complex housing a hotel, restaurants and residential apartments.
